Planning: Opening scene narration

The Unknown Massacre

The scene starts with a medium pan shot introducing the characters in a circle disclosing the antgonist  in slow motion. At this part of the movie the audience would hear the laughter from the group of friends and the wildlife around them.Also the low key lighting throughout will create tension.

 The next scene will be entered with a straight cut where we show a over the shoulder shot of one of the friends watching the other friends whilst they're filming. As he will be wearing black and will be breathing heavy the audiences first interoperation will be that he's an antagonist but is this true? The next camera shot will be from the point of view of the ' antagonist' which will show him walking towards the group of friends. The sounds will be the crushing off the twigs on the floor and the heavy breathing.

 Moreover the medium shot will show the friends laughing and playing around until the shows the 'antagonist' behind the couple scaring them. At this point the unknown character revealed he's one of the friends to the audience. The dialogue in this scene would be said by the female ''Oh my God' as she got scared. As the scene develops a pan shot will show the group of friends walking to find a better location in the forest to film their thriller movie. At this point the group of friends will be laughing at the nerd because of the way he's dressed. It gets even worse for him when he falls over a piece of wood from the branch of the tree and falls into the mud which makes everyone laugh even harder. Then the medium shot will show that he starts to run away from the group.

The dissolve into the next shot will show the time passed by that the group waited for him to return so they can continue the filing however as he doesn't come back they decide to split up and find him. As the nerd has his own camera he always plays around with it and films everything that happens, whilst he was walking the antagonist attacks him and he gets killed. However, the camera around his neck recorded everything that happened although it still doesn't contain the killers face so when the couple find the dead body of the nerd they watch the horrific recording.

Towards the end of the opening the couple and the group of friends end up not trusting each other as one member of the boys also go disappearing so each side thinks that its them.However, the extreme long shot shows them running altogether trying to find someone to seek for help and tell them what happened. This consequently results in them all getting killed one by one horrifically.

At the end every single member from the group gets killed apart from the first person who came late and therefore the audience thinks that his the antagonist.However, a blackout appears and that character is tied to a chair from the antagonists point of view with torture equipments all around him and covered in blood. The ending results in the audience being confused and uncomfortableb as they still don't know who the killer truly was from the start and try built up the pieces of the puzzle together.
