Planning: Storyboard

Storyboarding helped me and my group understanding the different stages within our thriller. It helped us plan so when we filmed we knew exactly what we were doing using the correct camera angles, props , sounds etc.

This first slide of the Story board shows the introduction of the characters to the audience with what camera angles are going to be used. It also shows which characters take place in what scenes. This helped the actors on set have a better understanding of how they need to position themselves and what they need to do without being asked to do it.

These small images helped the actors understand the relationship between the characters and the next stages that were needed to take place. Moreover, it also helped the crew such as the director and lighting operator know what form of lighting to use for what affect and the director to ensure everyone is placed and on set at the right time. As a group this also saved us time as we knew exactly what we had to do in order which allowed us to complete our filming without any distractions.

  1. You discuss well why the storyboarding process has helped you and your group, and it is a vital element to planning. This post is not quite finished.

-is there more to this storyboard? Prob need more than 8 frames to represent a 2 minute opening
-what are the advantages of storyboarding?

  2. Miss, I've published the pictures however they don't seem to load onto the page to preview or let me set the layout correctly as they keep moving around in different orders and effect the text
